Petaluma, CA (August 5, 2014) Aqus Community, North Bay’s only organization devoted entirely to community-building, announces the 5th annual AQUS FOUNDRY FESTIVAL. This year, in addition to helping support our local community, Aqus Community is hooking up to help support the folks who take care of our best friends - the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation.
This is the day to share a blanket, meet friends and neighbors, enjoy local talent and good company – a real community gathering for all ages complete with green grass, shady birch trees, lazy river views and ample free parking. Enjoy this year’s lineup of local and regional musicians, including: Trinity Rayne, HOTS, Zodiacs Family Band, Funktopus and Royal Jelly. As the music plays, options are plenty - lounge in the sun, dance in the grass, visit with the animals in the 'Cuddle Shuttle' or wander around for some local shopping, food, beer and wine.
As with last year’s festival, Mark Rennick, owner of Prairie Sun Live will bring his expertise, sound engineers and state-of-the-art equipment to raise the bar in this outdoor concert production. This festival is also made possible through generous contributions by Summit State Bank, Lagunitas, Sonoma County Gazette, Zodiacs, Petaluma Community Foundation, World Centric and Diversified Stage.
As with previous years, this festival is designed to gather community while helping raise funds for local non-profit organizations. This year’s non-profit partner, the Petaluma Animal Services Foundation (PASF) – brings hope and homes to animals in need. “We are so happy to be able to give something back this year to PASF – what most of us refer to as ‘the Animal Shelter’ because of how much they care for the wellbeing of our beloved animals in Petaluma,” says John Crowley, of Aqus Community. “They are providing such a tremendous service to the community – from rescuing and rehabilitating animals to pairing companion animals and attaining highly successful adoption rates.” PASF will be bringing their ‘Cuddle Shuttle’ to the festival so guests can come visit the animals and talk to the team about animal care, adoptions and training.
