Petaluma, CA (June 17, 2011) Aqus Cafe, Petaluma’s hive of social capital, is excited to announce the initial premier AQUS FOUNDRY FESTIVAL at The Foundry Wharf, 189 H Street, on Saturday, July 9, 2011.
Scheduled performers include THE EASY LEAVES, ALISON HARRIS & The BARN OWLS, GREENHOUSE, THE PIEZOELECTRIC EFFECT, THE MIGHTY GROOVE, and THE HOT CLUB OF MARIN.
The Festival, taking place in and celebrating the vibrant mixed-use area riverside in southwest Petaluma, will offer a daylong family-friendly event pairing great local music with local food and beverage purveyors. The stage area will be set with the river as a backdrop, offering the adjacent expansive lawn space of the business park to attending guests to picnic, dance, and play.
“The Foundry Wharf represents a perfect microcosm of Petaluma, with industrial and agri-businesses in operation side by side with a mix of white-collar offices- all in this beautiful riverside setting” states event founder and Aqus Café owner, John Crowley “I am so happy to bring a local-focused music festival here to celebrate this place, and the community that thrives here”.
Various food vendors will enhance the day, including beloved local favorites: Wood-Fired Pizza by PIZZA POLITANA and Paella by PAELLA DEY REYES, desserts by COURTWAY CATERING, and beer by LAGUNITAS Brewing Company.
The event kicks off at 2pm on the River Stage, with five hours of entertainment from favorite local acts. At 7pm attendees are encouraged to continue the party at Aqus Café with music by the Hot Club of Marin.
Tickets are $10 (ages 21+), $5 (ages 20-) and $7 for ClubAqus Members. Tickets available at the door and in advance at Aqus Café
